First win of the season for FC Badalona Women, who also claimed victory in the Catalan derby. Both teams looked lively during the opening minutes, but the first major chance of the match fell to Browne. The forward's shot went straight into the back of the net, but the referee disallowed the goal for offside. The response was not long in coming from Marc Ballester's side, who pushed for the equaliser through an Irina Uribe shot that Romane Salvador gathered to snuff out the danger. Before the break, Natalia Escot also went close in search of that elusive goal, while at the other end, Sheila Guijarro also tried to open her account in an official match wearing the visiting side's shirt, though the scoreline remained unchanged.
After the restart, Sara Monforte made a double substitution. Bicho and Anita Marcos entered the pitch to inject more momentum into the attack. However, it was FC Badalona Women who created a very clear chance right at the start of the second half. Itziar Pinillos whipped in a low cross that María Llompart turned towards goal, but the ball ended up back in the hands of the home goalkeeper. Elena Julve also appealed for a potential penalty, which the referee waved away. Indeed, the winger came very close to scoring, but a decisive block by Romane Salvador prevented what would have been the opening goal of the match. At the other end, Anita Marcos tried her luck with an effort that flew well wide under the watchful gaze of María Valenzuela, who watched the ball drift harmlessly away without threatening the visiting goal.

Both teams continued to make changes in search of the breakthrough. Mirari Uria and Paula Sánchez came on for Sheila Guijarro and Elena Julve, while Lucía Loras entered the fray for the home side. The tactical adjustments paid off, and in the final play of the match, a long ball into the edge of the area fell to Paula Sánchez, who laid it off and spotted the surging run of María Llompart. The midfielder, named Player of the Match, unleashed a blistering cross-shot that flew straight into the back of the net to make it 0-1. Following the goal, Sara Monforte's side threw everything forward in search of an equaliser, but it was FC Badalona Women who carried the greater threat from set-pieces, although the scoreboard did not change again. The final whistle confirmed the victory for Marc Ballester's team, who get their first win on the board in the competition.
