The home side wore shirts in support of Érika González, who is out with a cruciate ligament injury. Atlético de Madrid came out with the intention of taking all three points, and José Herrera's side only took seven minutes to break the deadlock. Synne Jensen finished a delivery from the corner. The forward's shot, who was the MVP of the match, ricocheted off Silvia Lloris's back, catching Laura Coronado by surprise and preventing her from stopping Atlético's goal. The home side quickly reacted with a header from Eva Alonso that went wide, much to Lola Gallardo's relief. Atlético's goalkeeper once again proved her class to save a long-range shot from Bascu. At the other end, Amaiur came close to doubling the lead on the scoreboard. The striker tried her luck with a shot from the edge of the box that Laura Coronado tipped wide for a corner.

From that corner kick, Silvia Lloris came within inches of scoring, but the defender couldn't connect with the ball inside the box. The match went into half-time with the Madrid side leading 0-1. In the second half, Andrés París's side stepped up, and just two minutes after the restart, Lola Gallardo had to intervene to prevent what would have been the equaliser. A cross from María Gabaldón on the wing was met by Carol Marín inside the box. The local midfielder's shot was saved by the Sevillian goalkeeper with a superb stop. Zipporah Agama latched onto the rebound, but couldn't find the target. The goalkeeper, with the help of the post, also managed to keep out a powerful strike from Alma Velasco. The visitors' response came from Amaiur, but without success.
Half an hour into the game, Dolores Silva came on for the home side to bolster the midfield. The match was completely open. Levante UD Femenino tried again with a direct free-kick from Bascu that sailed over the bar, while the decisive goal seemed to be at Jensen's feet, but Laura Coronado held onto the ball. The home goalkeeper also comfortably saved a powerful direct free-kick. Andrés París used his last substitutions by bringing on Naolia Traoré and Inés Rizo in attack, although it was Bascu, once again, who sought the goal with a long-range shot that Lola Gallardo saved. The goalkeeper also caught a delivery from Alharilla. The granotas appealed for a possible penalty in the final play of the match, but the referee ruled there was nothing to give.
