The Las Gaunas stadium hosted a match between two teams who, a priori, will be direct rivals in the fight for survival. The 'riojanas' started better, taking the initiative and creating danger around the opposition goal. Catalina Ongaro had the first chance with a high shot, while at the other end, Tere Morató tried her luck with a shot from inside the box that Miralles saved brilliantly to keep a clean sheet. In the next play, Annelie Leitner attempted a shot from the edge of the box that crashed directly against the woodwork, denying the full-back a goal. Falfán also came close to scoring, but her shot went wide. The home side continued to dominate the game, though without finding the path to the much-desired goal. After half an hour of play, Rebeca was close to scoring, but the Valencianista defence saved the goal. 

Before the break, Cris Redondo came close to scoring with a powerful header that went completely wide. With the score level at 0-0, the match went into half-time. The twenty-two protagonists remained on the pitch for the second half. Ana Franco had the first big chance of the second half, but Alice Pinguet gathered the ball in two attempts to prevent the goal. Close to the half-hour mark of the game, the first goal of the match arrived. Marta Masferrer advanced with the ball and spotted Ana Franco, who held up possession and played it wide for the arriving Annelie Leitner, who then set up Isina for a tap-in. The forward was the MVP of the match. Mikel Crespo responded with a triple substitution: Rebecca Elloh, Esther Gómez and Nazareth Martín entered the pitch. Meanwhile, María Barquero came on for the 'riojano' side. 

In the 70th minute, Ana Franco capitalised on a defensive error by Gema Climent. The forward unleashed a left-footed shot from inside the box, making it impossible for Alice Pinguet to reach the ball. The goal once again hurt the Valencianista side, who pushed forward in attack, looking for Rebecca Elloh and Salomé Prat, but neither of the two forwards managed to get past a very well-organised home defence. From a set-piece, Nazareth Martín couldn't connect with a good free-kick from the edge of the box. Time was running out for the 'Che' side, who couldn't find the much-needed goal. Indeed, a free-kick delivery from Sara Tamarit was headed in by Danielle Marcano to make it 2-1 on the scoreboard and reduce the deficit at Las Gaunas. Mia Asenjo had a chance to seal the win, but her shot grazed the post. Even so, the score remained unchanged, and the home team took all three points to secure their second victory of the year.
