Fatou Kanteh conquers Riazor in the league opener

It was opening day for the new Deportivo Abanca at the Riazor stadium. The first chance came from a Raquel Morcillo shot that a secure Andrea Tarazona gathered in two attempts to claim the ball. The Andalusian side had the second opportunity with a header from Xenia Barrios that went over the crossbar. David Losada's team kept pushing, and Laura Pérez tried her luck with a high shot. After sustained pressure, twelve minutes into the match, Laura Pérez delivered a cross into the heart of the area, which Fatou Kanteh headed home to score the first goal of the season in Liga F Moeve. The Galician side looked for a response through Lucía Rivas and an acrobatic effort from Esperanza Pizarro that sailed high. Lucía Pardo also tried her luck with a shot that skimmed the crossbar.
