Deportivo Alavés secure promotion to Liga F Moeve

Third time's the charm for Deportivo Alavés. After being relegated from Liga F Moeve in the 2022/2023 season, the 'babazorro' club finished 9th in Primera RFEF the following year, ten points off the promotion play-off spots. Last season, Las Gloriosas finished the campaign in 2nd position with 56 points, level on points with Alhama CF ElPozo, who, with a superior goal difference, ultimately secured promotion. CP Cacereño eventually eliminated them with a 4-3 aggregate score in the play-off semi-finals. This year, and after maintaining the project from the previous two seasons with Andrea Esteban at the helm, whose leadership they have renewed their confidence in, they stood out from the start of the season at the top of the standings.

An example of confidence and good management, which has borne fruit with promotion with two matchdays remaining in the league championship. The Vitoria-based side depended on themselves to secure at least one point from three matches. Andrea Esteban's side defeated CE Europa 0-4 with a goal from Reyes to move up to the top flight. With this result, and with two matches still to play, Deportivo Alavés remain in 2nd position in Primera RFEF; the leaders are FC Barcelona B, who cannot be promoted.

The Vitoria-based side have accumulated 52 points, after achieving sixteen wins, four draws, and only four defeats. In addition to thirty-nine goals scored and fourteen conceded. These figures make them the team with the fewest goals conceded, and the second-highest scoring team in the division. Las Gloriosas have proven to be a very solid team, with several players sharing the goals. The team's top scorer is Carmen Sobrón, with 7 goals. Currently, with three matchdays remaining, Valencia CF (3rd) with 40 points, Villarreal CF (5th) with 35 points, CA Osasuna (7th) with 32 points, and CD Alba Fundación Femenino (8th) with 31 points, would enter the play-offs in search of the other ticket for promotion to the top flight.
