After finishing in 5th position in LigaF Moeve with 51 points, falling in the semi-finals of the Copa de la Reina, in the Champions League round of 16, and reaching the Copa de la Reina final, the *Colchonero* side faces a new season with the objective of returning to Europe. The *Rojiblancas*, who will compete in the league, the Copa de la Reina, and the Supercopa de España, already have a new coach for the 2026/2027 season. The chosen one is David González (Tudela, April 16, 1985). The coach began his career in management in 2010 in the youth football ranks of FC Barcelona. After spells with the youth teams of Horta, Multivera, and Marchante, he joined the Real Madrid Foundation in 2016 to become the technical director of one of its academies in the Dominican Republic.

In the Caribbean country, he made a name for himself in the football world, eventually becoming the sporting director of Real Madrid's three academies. He then moved to the Dominican Republic U23 national team, with whom he made history by guiding them to the pre-Olympic tournament for the 2020 Games, reaching the final. He also managed the senior national team as interim coach. The arrival of the new national team coach prompted his return to club football, first managing Dominican side Atlético Pantoja and then Bolivian club Tomayapo. His return to Spain was swift, coming home to manage Club Deportivo Tuledano in Segunda RFEF and Club Deportivo Badajoz in Tercera RFEF, a club with which he achieved promotion and where he is held in high regard.

His last experience was with Club Deportivo Oriente Petrolero, in the top flight of Bolivian football. A true 'globe-trotter' with extensive experience in both men's football and internationally. At 41 years old, the coach faces his first challenge in women's football with the aim of performing well with the *Rojiblanco* side, signing for a single season. “I am very happy and excited. I hope to live up to this great club because it is an important challenge. It is a team with a great fanbase and deserves to be at the very top,” he stated in his first words as the new coach of Atlético de Madrid, with whom he has already started working to build the new project and plan for the upcoming season.
