A hard-fought victory for Real Sociedad to keep their sights on the next edition of the Champions League. The first chance of the match came from a corner kick that Emma Ramírez headed from the far post, but the ball went wide. Paula Fernández also tried her luck with a deflected shot that missed the opposition goal by mere centimetres. Madrid CFF barely created any danger. Quite the opposite for the *txuri-urdin* team, who came close to scoring with a ball into the box that Claudia Florentino was inches away from converting from the penalty spot. They kept pushing, and just past the half-hour mark, Klára Cahynová delivered a ball into the heart of the box that Claire Lavogez struck first-time to beat Paola Ulloa and break the deadlock. The French midfielder decided the match and was named MVP. 

Before half-time, both teams had a chance each. Hildur Antonsdóttir came close to scoring, but Julia Arrula made a providential interception to decisively cut out the dangerous move, while for Real Sociedad, Galician player Lucía Pardo pounced on a loose ball inside the box and tested Paola Ulloa, who responded masterfully with quick reflexes to send the ball out for a corner. After the restart, Freja Siri and Claudia García entered the pitch, but again, the Basque team continued to push in attack to try and extend their lead on the scoreboard. Aiara Agirrezabala beat her defender and linked up with Intza, who delivered a cross into the box for Lucía Pardo. Again, the forward anticipated the opposition defence to shoot and send the ball directly against the post. The rebound also fell to a home player, but the shot went wide. 

Both teams also made changes from the bench. Nerea Eizagirre, Cecilia Marcos and Nahia Aparicio came on for the home side, while Bárbara López and Nerea Sánchez were the changes for the Madrid team, who were looking for an equaliser. However, the changes benefited Real Sociedad more, and in the 90th minute, the *donostiarras* managed to seal the match. Nerea Eizagirre linked up with Cecilia Marcos, who drove into the box and unleashed a powerful left-footed shot that flew straight into the back of the net. The last chance of the game fell to Claudia García, who joined the attack and attempted a shot from the far post, but her effort went over the bar. With this result, Arturo Ruiz's side remain in 3rd position with 57 points, eight ahead of the fourth-placed team, with only four matchdays left until the end of the league championship. Meanwhile, the visitors remain in mid-table.
