Both teams took to the Lezama pitch with the aim of securing all three points. Athletic Club tried with long balls for Jone Amezaga in attack. Ane Elexpuru also ventured forward with a good run down the right flank, though without finding teammates in the box. Ten minutes into the game, the first goal arrived, courtesy of Naia Landaluze, after collecting a rebound from Sullastres, but the referee ultimately disallowed the goal for offside against the Basque team's centre-back. Sevilla FC also beat Nanclares with a perfect lob from Andrea Álvarez, but the referee also disallowed the goal from the Bilbao side. The visiting team had their chance with a cross-shot from Clau Blanco that went high.
David Losada's side soon livened up again with a shot from the edge of the area by Alicia Redondo that went directly into the hands of a confident Adriana Nanclares, who held onto the ball without any major problems. For their part, Esther Sullastres also caught a good ball into the area from Sara Ortega, who was dangerously looking for the opponent's goal. Maite Valero also came close to scoring, but, like her teammate, was met by the response of the Sevilla goalkeeper. Athletic Club came close to scoring on the counter-attack, but Sara Ortega's shot went completely wide. Andrea Álvarez, with an attempted lob, and Maddi Torre, with a header into Sullastres's hands, had the final chances of the first half.

The tension was high, and in the second half, Ane Azkona had a very clear chance to open the scoring, but her shot went just wide of the far post. Sullastres also anticipated well to collect a good ball inside the area. The match remained deadlocked, with neither team able to break the tie. Half an hour into the second half, Elene Gurtubay and Daniela Agote came on for the Basque team to try and change the course of the game. Precisely, Ana Azkona headed a cross from the winger over the bar. At the other end, Nanclares saved a shot from Raquel Morcillo from outside the area. The visitors withstood the siege from the Bilbao side, who tried again and again, but without success.
With fifteen minutes left on the clock, Jassina Blom, Gemma Gili, and Xenia Barrios entered the pitch for the Seville team, while Ane Campo and Garazi Facila did the same for the Lions. Clau Blanco, with a shot from mid-distance, came close to surprising Nanclares, but the goalkeeper held onto the ball without issue. Maite Valero, who was the MVP of the match, had a very clear chance for the Lions, with a header that went wide, while Gemma Gili had an effort for the visiting side that went wide. Both teams pushed in the final stretch, but the Lezama scoreboard remained unchanged, and the two clubs shared the points, placing them in fourth and tenth position respectively.
