Deportivo Alavés makes a triumphant return to the top flight. The Basque side is back in the elite after three seasons in Primera RFEF, and they did so by beating Valencia CF 2-0 in the clash of newly promoted teams, thanks to goals from Kumba Brima and Ainhoa Guallar, who was also named MVP of the match. Curiously, with this victory, Andrea Esteban's team enters the select club of teams that were promoted to the First Division and won on the opening matchday. Since the creation of Liga F Moeve in the 2022/2023 season, of the ten teams that have been promoted to the top category, only FC Badalona Women (then known as Levante Las Planas), Granada CF, and now the Vitoria-Gasteiz side are the only ones to achieve this.

The Catalan team won 1-2 against Real Betis Féminas, while the Andalusian club won 2-1 against Real Sociedad. Furthermore, Deportivo Alavés previously spent two seasons in the First Division. In the 2021/2022 campaign, just the year before the competition turned professional, they also won their opening match, defeating Real Betis Féminas 2-1. The Basque side managed to retain their top-flight status, a curious fact they will hope to repeat this season. The following year, 'Las Gloriosas' were relegated, but the Vitoria-Gasteiz club has returned with more determination than ever, achieving a debut only matched by two other promoted teams and making Mendizorroza a fortress to secure their place in the elite.
