For the fifth time, the blaugrana and rojiblanco sides will face each other in a Copa de la Reina final, making it the most repeated title showdown in the forty-four previous editions. The last time both teams met in a cup final was last season, where the blaugranas won 2-0 at El Alcoraz with a brace from Claudia Pina. This time, the Gran Canaria stadium will host a historic event. FC Barcelona arrive at the match as champions of the Spanish Super Cup, champions of Liga F Moeve, and in the UEFA Women's Champions League final. On their path in the knockout competition, they defeated Deportivo Alavés 1-6 in the round of 16, beat Real Madrid CF 0-4 in the quarter-finals, and drew 0-0 against FC Badalona Women in the first leg of the semi-finals, before overcoming them 4-1 in the return leg.

A result that qualifies them for the final and allows them to fight for their twelfth cup title. Because the blaugranas can boast of being the queens of the Copa, with eleven titles in their honours list: 1994, 2011, 2013, 2014, 2017, 2018, 2020, 2021, 2022, 2024, and 2025. Furthermore, the Culé side has played in thirteen finals, losing only twice. Laia Aleixandri, who has a cruciate ligament injury, and Graham Hansen, suffering from a right thigh adductor injury, will be the two absentees for FC Barcelona. Cata Coll is expected to be available for the final. Facing them will be Atlético de Madrid, who arrive at the match in 4th position in Liga F Moeve, albeit with only one defeat in their last nine games. The rojiblancas defeated Alhama CF ElPozo 1(4)-1(5) on penalties in the round of 16, and beat Athletic Club 4-1 in the quarter-finals.

In the knockout competition's semi-finals, the Colchoneras won 1-0 in the first leg and another 0-1 in the return leg against Costa Adeje Tenerife. The Madrid side, who have reached the final six times, have won the Copa de la Reina on two occasions. In 2016, they precisely beat FC Barcelona 2-3, and in 2023, they achieved victory against Real Madrid CF 2(3)-2(1) in a thrilling penalty shootout. Silvia Lloris, who has a cruciate ligament injury, is a confirmed absentee for the match, while captain Lola Gallardo is a doubt for the clash after suffering a left hip hamstring strain in the last league game. Two teams, the blaugrana and the colchonero, who already know what it is to be crowned champions of the competition, and who will re-enact last year's final in search of seizing the cup throne and lifting the trophy.
