Real Sociedad rout to qualify for Europa Cup Round of 16
The txuri-urdin side secured a 4-0 victory over Hearts with goals from Laura Camino, Paula Fernández, Ainoa Campo and an own goal by Lauren Wade. Real Sociedad claim their first win of the campaign to book their place in the last 16 of Europe's secondary competition. Sonya Keefe made her debut for the txuri-urdin.

The Basque club secured their first victory of the season, and they did it in style, with a thrashing, and by qualifying for the UEFA Women's Europa Cup round of 16. Gorka Álvarez's side only took nineteen minutes to break the deadlock. Laura Camino, who had already tried with a high shot, headed in a magnificent cross from Ainhoa Marín. The goal settled the San Sebastián side, who had a chance for a second with an Ainoa Campo shot that went wide. Cecilia Marcos tried from distance, and Ava Seelenfreund had a go with a shot that the visiting goalkeeper saved. Before half-time, two more goals would arrive. First, Paula Fernández scored from the penalty spot after a tough challenge inside the box on Intza, which led to the penalty.
Just a couple of minutes later, Ainoa Campo found the back of the net from a good cross by Cecilia Marcos. After the restart, Klára Cahynová, Nerea Eizagirre and Ane Isasisasmendi entered the pitch to maintain attacking intensity. Hearts tried, but the home side's dominance was very clear, with Cecilia Marcos constantly creating danger upfront. Maren Lezeta also came on, and with twenty minutes remaining, Lauren Wede ended up putting the ball into her own net while trying to cut out an Ainhoa Marín run. The home side's last change was Sonya Keefe, who debuted for the txuri-urdin outfit. Real Sociedad celebrated their first victory of the season, and this Friday they will find out who their opponent will be in the round of 16.
