Real Madrid wins the Madrid derby
Real Madrid Femenino claimed a 3-2 victory over Atlético de Madrid in the Madrid derby, courtesy of a brace from Felicia Schröder and a goal from Sandie Toletti. Meanwhile, Synne Jensen also netted a brace for Atlético de Madrid. Both Felicia Schröder of Real Madrid Femenino and Gio Garbelini of Atlético de Madrid were sent off.

The weekend came to a close with the Madrid derby. Both teams took to the pitch eager to claim the win. Lotte Keukelaar had the first chance of the match with a thunderous strike that went over the crossbar. Shortly after, the Dutch player produced a superb nutmeg and turn to set up Felicia Schröder for the opening goal, leaving her with the simple task of tapping the ball straight into the back of the net. Atlético de Madrid looked for an immediate response from a set-piece, but Frohms was alert between the sticks. Fifteen minutes into the match came one of the standout goals of the matchday. Sandie Toletti, who was named Player of the Match, scored a sensational direct corner kick to catch Lola Gallardo off guard—leaving the goalkeeper with no chance—and double the lead. The *colchoneras* pulled one back past the half-hour mark.
A backheel pass from Luany played Fiamma clean through inside the area, and she picked out Synne Jensen. The forward easily beat Frohms. David González's side even thought they had equalised through Xènia Pérez, only for the referee to rule the goal out. Just when Real Madrid CF desperately needed the half-time break, Felicia Schröder struck again to complete her brace following a great ball recovery by the madridistas. Atlético de Madrid hadn't said their last word yet, though, and Jensen produced a brilliant individual effort, firing a right-footed shot straight into the net to complete her own brace. In the second half, Lola Gallardo denied Schröder a hat-trick, although the play was eventually pulled back for offside. Shortly after, the Swedish forward caught Rosa Otermín with her studs and was shown a second yellow card, resulting in her expulsion in the 55th minute.
Following the red card, Pau Quesada brought on Beerensteyn for Keukelaar. The visitors took control of the game, and Jensen unleashed a shot that went straight into the hands of the merengue goalkeeper. Alexia Fernández also tried her luck from distance. Numerical equality was soon restored following the sending-off of Gio Garbelini for a challenge off the ball on Eva Navarro. The *rojiblanco* side continued to press through Jensen, alongside the introduction of Allegra Poljak and Henrietta Csiszár. Meanwhile, Linda Caicedo came on for the hosts. Atlético de Madrid's final changes saw Amaiur Sarriegi enter the fray—only to be denied by Frohms—alongside Celia Gómez. Real Madrid CF had the chance to seal the win at the feet of Beerensteyn, but the forward's shot sailed over the bar. The final opportunity fell to Lola Gallardo, who went up to attack a corner, but Frohms comfortably gathered her header.
