Pau Quesada's side did not take long to take control of the match. The first chance of the game came from an Eva Navarro cross-shot that drifted well wide. Caroline Weir also tried her luck with a direct free-kick that sailed over the crossbar, much to the relief of the Sevilla defence. Just a few minutes later, Feller cut inside from the edge of the box and unleashed a powerful strike that went wide. Half an hour in, the opening goal was almost headed home by Alba Redondo. The forward met the ball with her head, but it went straight into the hands of Esther Sullastres, who gathered the ball with ease. Linda Caicedo also appealed for a potential penalty on Alice Marques, which the referee did not award. For their part, the Sevilla players looked to attack through Rosa Márquez and Fatou Kanteh, who tried to get forward but failed to create any real danger.

After the break, Real Madrid CF continued to push, with an Eva Navarro free-kick that Esther Sullastres saved with a great intervention to clear the shot. Just a minute later, Eva Navarro herself—who was the MVP of the match—sent a cross into the box for Alba Redondo to head the ball into the back of the net with a powerful header. The goal prompted a reaction from David Losada, who shuffled his bench by bringing on Gemma Gili for Millaray Cortés. The hosts tried to level the match with a Fatou Kanteh cross that went straight into the hands of Frohms, who held onto the ball. At the other end, Linda Caicedo continued to cause problems for the Andalusian defence. The Colombian played the ball to Sheila García, who tried her luck with a long-range shot that the Sevilla goalkeeper gathered to comfortably end the threat.

With fifteen minutes remaining, Xenia Barrios and Alba Cerrato came onto the pitch to try and create danger up front and hunt for an equaliser. For her part, Pau Quesada brought on Irish Ashley and Yasmim. The Brazilian full-back only lasted six minutes on the pitch before having to leave due to injury. Sevilla FC pushed for an equaliser, but the white defence remained very solid at the back. In stoppage time, Sara Däbritz sent a long ball over the top of the defence for Feller to chase. The Frenchwoman used her pace to get away from the visiting defence and beat Sullastres with a great strike to make it 2-0, putting the finishing touch on Real Madrid CF's European celebrations as they secured their qualification for next season's Champions League. Meanwhile, the hosts remain in 7th place in the league table with 39 points after five consecutive defeats.
