Two teams looking to return to winning ways in Liga F Moeve. This is how Madrid CFF and Sevilla FC arrive at the Fernando Torres fixture, set to meet on Monday, May 11th at 19:00h in the match that closes Matchday 28 of the competition. The home side find themselves in a comfortable 10th position in the league table with 31 points, eight behind their rivals. The team managed by Sánchez Vera has accumulated four consecutive defeats and six games without a win. Precisely, since the arrival of the Madrid-born coach, Madrid CFF has only managed two victories in twelve league encounters. Sandra Villafañe, Ángela Sosa, and Bárbara López were not called up for the last match. Academy players Estefanía González and Claudia García completed the squad and even started. Both players could feature again against the Seville club.

Facing them will be a Sevilla side that is having a strong season but has accumulated five consecutive defeats, in which they have only scored two goals. A poor run they will be looking to end away from home. Despite that poor run of results, David Losada's team sits in 7th place with 39 points, one ahead of Athletic Club, who occupy the final spot in the TOP-8 of the standings. Precisely, the visiting team's objective is to remain among those top eight teams. “We look at it with optimism, not losing face to anyone, and the match against Madrid CFF is a final to save ourselves a round in the Copa,” stated the Andalusian team's coach after falling 0-2 to Real Madrid CF in their last outing. Eva Llamas, Lucía Moral 'WIFI', and Jassina Blom, who suffered a cruciate ligament injury in the summer, were the three absentees for the Seville club in that last league match.

Previous encounters between the two teams

The two teams have met on seventeen occasions across Primera División and Copa de la Reina, with a record of five wins for Madrid CFF, three draws, and nine victories for the Seville club. The first-leg match was won by the Madrid team, who secured a 1-3 victory at the Jesús Navas stadium. A goal from Hildur Antonsdóttir opened the scoring, but right at the start of the second half, Andrea Álvarez equalised. Mônica Hickmann, from the penalty spot, and Bárbara López, in the final stages, sealed the win for the visitors. Sevilla FC seeks revenge in this second half of the season clash. Furthermore, the Seville club has conquered the Madrid team's ground on four occasions, also achieving qualification for the Copa de la Reina semi-finals after a 0-3 victory in the 2019/2020 season.
