Jenni Hermoso returns to Atlético de Madrid
The 36-year-old from Madrid signs for Atlético de Madrid in what will be her third spell as a 'rojiblanca', having previously been with the club between 2006-2010 and in the 2018/2019 season. In Spain, she also played for Rayo Vallecano and FC Barcelona on two separate occasions. She was a key player in Spain's triumph at the 2023 World Cup.

“I’ve been fortunate enough to choose where I want to be, and today I feel privileged to say that I’m where I want to be,” stated Jennifer Hermoso (Carabanchel, 9 May 1990) in her first words as a new Atlético de Madrid player. The forward will embark on her third spell with the Colchoneras. She developed as a player at Atlético and stayed until 2010, before returning for the 2018/2019 season, winning a league title. In Spain, she has also played for Rayo Vallecano and FC Barcelona. She also has experience in Sweden, where she played for Tyresö, and in France, after a season with PSG. Since 2022, she has been in Mexico, where in four years she has played for Pachuca and Tigres with great success.
Indeed, she won a league title with the Mexican club. This past season, she played in the Apertura and Clausura tournaments, featuring in 38 matches, 36 of them as a starter, and scoring 16 goals. Now she returns home to be one of the prominent figures of Liga F Moeve with the upcoming World Cup on the horizon. The Madrid-born player, who has over 100 caps for La Roja, has been a senior international since 2012 and was key to Spain winning the 2023 World Cup, a historic achievement she aims to repeat next summer. She joins the Colchonero squad, signing for just one season, bringing dressing room experience, versatility in the attacking line, and goals to help the team return to the Champions League.
