Before the match began, a psycho-oncologist from the Association Against Cancer of La Rioja and two breast cancer survivors performed the ceremonial kick-off. Additionally, Logroño United players wore shirts in support of injured Mia Asenjo. Both teams took to the pitch with the aim of securing the three points, but it was the Nazarí side that took the lead after twenty minutes. A cross from the wing by Jenni López was headed in by Bárbara López at the far post, getting ahead of the Nazarí defence and opening the scoring. The reply almost came with a shot from Marta Masferrer after a free-kick, but Yohana Gómez sent the ball out for another corner.

Meanwhile, Blanca Muñoz, after winning the ball high up the pitch, was close to extending the lead, but the defender's shot went over. In the 37th minute, a good run by Ana Franco down the wing was almost finished by Cris Redondo from inside the box, but the striker's shot was eventually cleared by the visiting defence. Ximena Velazco also came close to scoring with a shot that went too wide. Logroño United's persistence paid off just before half-time. Leles Carrión committed a penalty on Ana Franco, which Isina stepped up to take and scored, sending Yohana Gómez the wrong way and restoring parity at the end of the first forty-five minutes at the Las Gaunas stadium.

In the second half, Valentina Donolato came onto the pitch for the Riojan side. The hosts started better, but it was Elene Guridi who restored the lead after capitalising on a perfect delivery from Leles Carrión. However, after a video review, the referee eventually disallowed the goal for offside. A blow for the Andalusian side, who nevertheless pushed for more goals, and seven minutes later, another impressive header from Bárbara López beat María Miralles to make it 1-2 on the scoreboard. The forward, who was soon replaced by Iris Ashley, was the MVP of the match with her brace. Granada CF continued to press, and they soon added a third.

A good corner from Leles Carrión was headed in by Naiara Sanmartín to beat the Riojan side's goalkeeper. The drama continued several minutes later, with a header from María Barquero to reduce the deficit and get back into the match. Catalina Ongaro, Francisca Altgelt and Alena Peckova came onto the pitch in search of a comeback. With fifteen minutes remaining, the referee sent off Miku Kojima for a challenge on Altgelt. The hosts pushed forward. Isina almost scored from a direct free-kick, and Laura Martín came close to scoring with a shot that went too high. The last chance of the match fell to Valentina Donolato, but she also failed to find the opposition goal.
