Graham shines in the raid on Rome

Second win for FC Barcelona in the Champions League league phase, and a clean sweep of victories across all competitions heading into the match against Real Madrid CF in the best possible form. The visitors took control of the game from the opening whistle. Brugts had the first warning, but it was Graham Hansen who broke the deadlock in the nineteenth minute following a video-game-esque move. Brugts and Sydney Schertenleib tried their luck again, and before the break, Skuhurat Oladipo, attempting to cut out a one-two by the blaugranas, ended up putting the ball directly into her own net. After the restart, Roma tried to react with several long-range shots in search of pulling a goal back on the scoreboard, but the culés were quick to put the match to bed.
Eight minutes into the second half, Claudia Pina received a great pass from Ewa Pajor to beat the home goalkeeper. And, on the hour mark, Graham capitalised on an assist from Clara Serrajordi to get inside the box and chip the ball over Rachele Baldi. The Norwegian completed her brace in the match. Pere Romeu was quick to shake up the bench with the introduction of Aitana and Aïcha Cámara, who arrived fresh from being crowned U20 World Champions. Meanwhile, Claudia Pina rounded off the half-dozen with a powerful strike from the edge of the box, while Carla Julià, Rosalía Domínguez – both world champions – and Van Asten came on. Fittingly, the centre-back provided the assist for Ewa Pajor to make it 0-6 and seal the final score.
