With just days to go before the 2026/2027 Liga F Moeve season kicks off, the spotlight will be firmly on the pitch, but also in the dugouts. The upcoming league campaign is defined by continuity on the touchline. Ten teams have kept their head coaches in place, backing them to consolidate their projects—including newly promoted Deportivo Alavés and Valencia CF. The only manager to move to a different club within the division is Víctor Martín, who embarks on a new chapter with Athletic Club. The league will also feature two female head coaches: Sara Monforte (RCD Espanyol) and Andrea Esteban (Deportivo Alavés). Meanwhile, a total of four managers will make their top-flight debuts as head coaches, two of whom were already part of their respective teams' coaching staffs last season.

The four Primera División debutants

The 2026/2027 season will mark the first Liga F Moeve experience for four coaches. Atlético de Madrid will look to return to Europe under the guidance of David González. Originally from Tudela, he will manage women's football for the first time following an extensive career in both the men's game and internationally in the Dominican Republic and Bolivia. Also taking his first steps in women's football is the new Logroño United manager, Santiago García, who boasts deep knowledge of football in La Rioja and will form a partnership with Daniel Montoya, who remains as his assistant. Elsewhere, Deportivo Abanca and Granada CF have opted to appoint Alberto Rodríguez and Adrián Martín respectively as their head coaches. The Galician was Fran Alonso's assistant, while the new occupant of the Granada dugout was Irene Ferreras's number two. Both are bold appointments to lead their respective projects.

Touchline continuity and Víctor Martín as the exception

Eleven Liga F Moeve teams have decided to keep their head coaches in the dugout, including newly promoted Deportivo Alavés and Valencia CF, who return to the top flight led by Andrea Esteban—marking her fourth season at the *babazorro* helm—and Mikel Crespo, who will tackle his second year with the *Che* side. Both managers already know what it takes to coach in the elite. Curiously, they previously did the opposite: the Teruel-born coach managed the *blanquinegro* club, and the Basque manager led the *Gloriosas*. Title-holders FC Barcelona keep Pere Romeu in charge for what will be his third campaign as head coach of the *blaugrana* side. Meanwhile, Pau Quesada enters his second league campaign at the helm of Real Madrid CF. Real Sociedad are currently awaiting confirmation of their new manager following the departure of Arturo Ruiz, who secured a third-place finish last season.

Three managers will experience their first full season from the start of pre-season at their respective clubs. Costa Adeje Tenerife retain Yerai Martín, who took charge of the Tenerife outfit in December, while Marc Ballester—who arrived at FC Badalona Women in November—will lead the Catalan club's project. Meanwhile, José Luis Sánchez Vera continues at Madrid CFF, a club he took over in January. Sara Monforte at RCD Espanyol and David Losada at Sevilla FC will enjoy their third consecutive season at their respective clubs as they look to build continuity, and Iñaki Goikoetxea tackles his second term at SD Eibar with the objective of securing safety. Víctor Martín, who has signed for Athletic Club from Atlético de Madrid, is the only manager to switch clubs within the competition.
