With just a few days to go until the start of the 2026/2027 season of Liga F Moeve, the spotlight will be firmly on the pitch, but also in the dugouts. The upcoming league campaign is defined by continuity on the touchline. Eleven teams have kept their managers in place, banking on stability for their projects, including newly promoted sides Deportivo Alavés and Valencia CF. The only manager to switch clubs within the competition is Víctor Martín, who embarks on a new chapter with Athletic Club. The league will also feature two female head coaches: Sara Monforte (RCD Espanyol) and Andrea Esteban (Deportivo Alavés). Meanwhile, a total of four coaches will make their debut in the top flight as head coaches, two of whom were already part of their respective teams' coaching staffs last season.

The four debutants in the First Division

The 2026/2027 season will mark the first Liga F Moeve experience for four managers. Atlético de Madrid will look to return to Europe under the guidance of David González. Originally from Tudela, he will manage in women's football for the first time following extensive experience in men's football and internationally in the Dominican Republic and Bolivia. Also making his debut in women's football is Logroño United's new manager, Santiago García, who boasts deep knowledge of football in La Rioja and will form a partnership with Daniel Montoya, who remains as assistant manager. Meanwhile, Deportivo Abanca and Granada CF have opted to hand the reins to Alberto Rodríguez and Adrián Martín respectively. The Galician was Fran Alonso's assistant, while the new occupant of the Nazari dugout served as Irene Ferreras's assistant. Both are bold appointments to lead their respective projects.

Continuity in the dugouts and Víctor Martín as the exception

Eleven Liga F Moeve clubs have decided to keep their managers in the dugout, including newly promoted sides Deportivo Alavés and Valencia CF, who return to the top flight under Andrea Esteban—marking her fourth season with the *babazorro* side—and Mikel Crespo, who will tackle his second year at the helm of *Los Che*. Both managers already know what it takes to coach in the elite. Curiously, they did so the other way around: the manager from Teruel previously managed the *blanquinegro* club, and the Basque coach previously led the *Gloriosas*. FC Barcelona, the defending champions, retain Pere Romeu for what will be his third campaign as head coach of the *blaugrana* side. Meanwhile, Pau Quesada will experience his second league campaign in charge of Real Madrid CF, just like Arturo Ruiz, who will also enjoy his second year at Real Sociedad, where he secured a third-place finish last term.

Three managers will experience their first full season from pre-season onwards with their respective teams. Costa Adeje Tenerife have kept Yerai Martín, who took charge of the Tenerife outfit in December, while Marc Ballester, who arrived at FC Badalona Women in November, will lead the Catalan club's project. Elsewhere, José Luis Sánchez Vera continues at Madrid CFF, a club he took over in January. Sara Monforte (RCD Espanyol) and David Losada (Sevilla FC) will enjoy their third consecutive season at their respective clubs as they look to build continuity, while Iñaki Goikoetxea takes on his second campaign with SD Eibar with the objective of securing survival. Víctor Martín, who has signed for Athletic Club from Atlético de Madrid, is the only manager to switch teams within the division.
