The Auditorio Meeting Place Castellana will host the presentation of the agreement between Gasol16 Ventures, the investment vehicle of Pau Gasol, and LigaF this Tuesday, 30 June, at 16:30. This is a historic event following the approval of the agreement at an Extraordinary Assembly of clubs, which gave their majority backing to the deal. The €55 million investment in LigaF and its clubs represents the largest private investment ever received by a women's football league, and one of the most significant in the history of professional women's sport globally. This investment aims, among other things, to drive the commercial development of the competition, enhance its international positioning, and foster the growth and consolidation of a long-term model for the league and its clubs, aligning with the trend of private capital entering women's sport in Europe.

The event will be attended by Beatriz Álvarez, President of LigaF, and Pau Gasol, the face of the investment, who will bring his direct experience in women's sport as an investor in the WNBA, the professional women's basketball league in the United States, as well as Bay FC of the NWSL, the women's football league in the United States. Gasol16 Ventures, whose investment activity is focused on the sports, health, and wellness sectors, aims to contribute not only capital to this partnership, but also its network of commercial and institutional relationships, as well as the knowledge built during Pau Gasol's sporting career in the NBA and with the Spanish national team. Thanks to this agreement, LigaF, which is the first professional women's league in the history of Spanish sport, continues to establish itself as a benchmark in its category on the continent.
