The RCD Espanyol players took to the pitch wearing shirts in support of Anna Torrodà, who is suffering from a cruciate ligament injury. Both teams took to the pitch with the aim of securing the three points. The first chance of the match came after twenty minutes. Júlia Guerra pushed Ana González inside the box. The referee awarded a penalty, and the visiting midfielder made no mistake from the spot, sending Romane Salvador the wrong way to break the deadlock. The home side's reaction was immediate. A cross into the box fell to Ángeles del Álamo, but her shot was saved by María Valenzuela with a superb intervention. The goalkeeper produced another great save to prevent the equaliser. A goal that would not be long in coming. Half an hour into the match, the referee pointed to the spot for another penalty, for a foul by Sonia Majarín on Ainoa Campo, which the midfielder converted to level the score.

The visiting goalkeeper guessed the direction of the shot but could not prevent the goal. Before half-time, RCD Espanyol had a very clear chance to take the lead. Browne sent a cross into the box that Ana González got a touch on. The ball rebounded off the post, and the rebound fell to Ona Baradad, but the winger was not accurate and failed to find the net. After the break, Sara Monforte made substitutions, bringing on Naima García to continue generating more attacking threat, but the first chance of the second half went to the visiting team. María Llompart drove with the ball to the edge of the box and unleashed a powerful shot that went well wide. Paula Sánchez also came on for FC Badalona Women to try and create more goal-scoring opportunities, but Ariadna Domènech was outstanding, cutting out a run by Lice Chamorro from inside the box and averting the danger.

The Espanyol youth team product was named MVP of the match thanks to her solidity at the back and strong defensive performances. Sara Monforte brought on Paula Perea and Judit Pablos, while Berta Pujadas played her first minutes after overcoming a long-term injury. With three minutes remaining, María Llompart was sent off for a second yellow card after a heavy tackle on Paula Perea. FC Badalona Women were left with one player less, and the home side looked to capitalise on their numerical advantage to search for the winning goal. The clearest chance fell to Browne. A long ball from Romane Salvador fell to the Espanyol forward, who found herself one-on-one with María Valenzuela, but the goalkeeper produced a superb save to prevent the goal and keep the score level. A share of the points leaves both teams separated by just four points in the standings.
