Following the draw held at the Plaza de Colón, the Liga F Moeve teams now know their schedule for the 2026/2027 season. The league campaign will kick off on the weekend of 29–30 August and conclude on the weekend of 22–23 May. It will be nine months of competition featuring 240 matches played in an asymmetric format, meaning no two matchdays will be identical, ensuring the proper development of the league competition. Furthermore, the season will include two midweek matchdays—Matchday 13 and Matchday 29—and four FIFA international breaks, during which the Spanish national team will play to prepare for the 2027 World Cup. The ball will start rolling on a season featuring several high-profile duels that promise intense excitement:

FC Barcelona vs Real Madrid CF as the main attractions

Once again, the spotlight will be on the matches between FC Barcelona and Real Madrid CF, the first and second-placed teams from last season's domestic competition. The *Azulgranas* arrive as defending champions with four trophies in their cabinet, looking to defend their league title against a *Blancas* side that already knows what it is like to win on Catalan soil. Additionally, last season's encounter set a historic audience record. The first leg will take place on the weekend of 4 October (Matchday 6) in Barcelona, and the return leg will be on 21 February (Matchday 21) in the Spanish capital.

The duels between the three Madrid-based Liga F Moeve teams

The 2026/2027 Liga F Moeve season will feature three teams from Madrid: Real Madrid CF, Atlético de Madrid, and Madrid CFF. Real Madrid CF and Atlético de Madrid will open the domestic championship on the weekend of 30 August (Matchday 1) at the home of the *Merengues*, while the return match will be played on the weekend of 14 February (Matchday 20) at the *Colchoneras'* ground. Meanwhile, Madrid CFF will face Real Madrid CF on the midweek matchday of 9 December (Matchday 13) and the weekend of 2 May (Matchday 27), and will play Atlético de Madrid on 18 October (Matchday 7) and 21 February (Matchday 21).


High-stakes excitement in FC Barcelona vs Atlético de Madrid

Another match circled in red on the 2026/2027 Liga F Moeve calendar is the one between the *Culés* and the Madrid side, the first and fifth-placed teams from last season's league championship. Furthermore, both teams faced each other this past season in the Copa de la Reina final at the Gran Canaria stadium, with a 3-1 victory for FC Barcelona over Atlético de Madrid. The first meeting between the two teams will be on the weekend of 13 September (Matchday 3) in Barcelona, and the second duel of the campaign will be played on 13 January (Matchday 17) at the home of the *Rojiblancas*. 

Four Basque teams to play in Liga F Moeve 2025/2026

Following the promotion of Deportivo Alavés to the top flight, the 2025/2026 Liga F Moeve season will feature four Basque teams. Real Sociedad and Athletic Club will meet on the weekend of 15 November (Matchday 11) in San Sebastián, and on 14 February (Matchday 20) in Bilbao. Eibar will face Athletic Club on 20 September (Matchday 20) at Ipurua and will visit Bilbao on 9 May (Matchday 28). The Gipuzkoan derby will be played on 8 November (Matchday 10) at Ipurua and on 31 January (Matchday 18) in San Sebastián. On the other hand, the *Babazorro* side will face Real Sociedad on 1 November (Matchday 9) at home and on 11 April (Matchday 26) away; SD Eibar on 15 November (Matchday 11) at home and on 28 March (Matchday 24) away; and Athletic Club on 9 December (Matchday 13) away and on 2 May (Matchday 27) at home.


The Andalusian derbies between Granada CF and Sevilla FC

The new Liga F Moeve season will feature two Andalusian clubs, Granada CF and Sevilla FC, who faced each other last season in the domestic competition with a 0-2 victory for the *Hispalenses* in the first leg and a 0-1 triumph for Granada in the return leg. Furthermore, both teams finished last year in the top 8 of the standings, with Irene Ferreras' side in sixth position and David Losada's team in eighth. The first duel between the two teams will be played on the midweek matchday of 9 December (Matchday 13) at the Sevilla FC ground, and the return leg will be played on the weekend of 21 February (Matchday 21) at the home of the *Nazarí* club.

The clashes between the three Catalan teams

The duels between the three Catalan teams will also mark the new Liga F Moeve season. The matches between FC Barcelona and RCD Espanyol will be played on 9 December (Matchday 13), the date for the first leg at the *Blaugrana* home ground, and 2 May (Matchday 27), when it will be the turn for the second leg at the *Perico* home ground. Meanwhile, FC Badalona Women will face FC Barcelona on 1 November (Matchday 9) at home and on 31 January (Matchday 18) away, while Marc Ballester's side will play against RCD Espanyol on 6 September (Matchday 2) away and on 28 March (Matchday 24) at home.
