FC Barcelona's Claudia Pina collected the Liga F Moeve Player of the Month award for May. The forward from Moncada i Reixac scored 3 goals during the month, and was also key to the Blaugrana winning the Copa de la Reina and the UEFA Women's Champions League. from San Sebastián added a hat-trick and an assist during the month of competition.

This Wednesday, May 27th, the Player of the Month for May was revealed: ‘Player of the Month’. For this initiative, EA SPORTS selected Liga F last season to be the pioneering women's league to launch this award for the footballer with the best monthly performance and statistics in the Spanish First Division, voted for by fans. The Spanish competition joined five other men's leagues that already offered this award with EA SPORTS: LALIGA EA SPORTS, Premier League, Serie A, Bundesliga, and Ligue 1.
Following the votes, the winner was Claudia Pina (FC Barcelona), who also won the trophy in November. The forward for the blaugrana side joins Natalia Ramos (Costa Adeje Tenerife), who won it in April, Amaiur Sarriegi (Atlético de Madrid) in March, Lucía Moral 'WIFI' (Sevilla FC) in February, Athenea del Castillo (Real Madrid CF) in January, Ewa Pajor (FC Barcelona) in December, Edna Imade (Real Sociedad) in October, and Luany (Atlético de Madrid), who took home the trophy in September.
The Catalan player triumphed over the other six nominated players: Caroline Weir (Real Madrid CF), Vilde Boe Risa (Atlético de Madrid), Claire Lavogez (Real Sociedad), Ainhoa Marín (Deportivo Abanca), Laura Camino (SD Eibar), and Isina Corte (DUX Logroño). The azulgrana player played 117 minutes across two Liga F Moeve matches in May, in which she scored 3 goals, a brace against Levante UD (5-0), and another goal against Costa Adeje Tenerife (1-3). She also scored a goal in the Copa de la Reina final and was key to the blaugranas winning the UEFA Women's Champions League.
Furthermore, the forward has now amassed 20 goals and 5 assists across 1,440 minutes in 26 league appearances, also making her the top scorer in the competition. The FC Barcelona player collected the trophy at the Johan Cruyff stadium, before the Matchday 29 Liga F Moeve fixture against Real Sociedad. With this initiative, EA SPORTS continues to show its firm commitment to promoting women's football, and specifically, making the Spanish competition a global pioneer in this type of action.
