The first edition of the Torneo Liga Futura Moeve went to Badalona. The Catalan side won the championship without losing a single match, largely thanks to Amalia Garewal, who was named MVP and the tournament's top scorer with 6 goals. The forward was a constant threat to opposing defences thanks to her pace, her ability to beat players, and, above all, her goalscoring instinct. In the group stage, FC Badalona Women finished in 1st place in Group A with 7 points after securing two victories, against Atlético de Madrid (0-1) and Madrid CFF (2-0), and a draw on the final matchday against Deportivo Abanca (2-2). The striker scored in all three group stage matches, demonstrating her great attacking qualities from the very beginning.
Against the Madrid side, she broke the deadlock by scoring the only goal of the match; against Madrid CFF, she scored both goals of the clash; and she netted one of her team's two goals against the Galician side. In the quarter-finals, FC Badalona Women defeated Sevilla FC on penalties 0(3)-0(2), while in the semi-finals, the Catalan side beat Levante UD 3-2, a match in which Amalia Garewal appeared once again. The forward scored two goals, one to level the match and the other to send her team through to the final, where the Catalans secured victory by beating Atlético de Madrid in a thrilling penalty shootout 0(7)-0(6). A trophy, the first in the tournament's history, in which the striker was fundamental with her goals.
